Principle of Operation UV water disinfection system design has been carefully conceived to provide adequate germicidal dosage throughout the disinfection chamber. The dosage, as it applies to UV disinfection, is a function of time and the intensity of UV radiation to which the water is exposed. Exposure time is related to the flow rate, the higher the flow rate, the lower the exposure time or the lower the flow rate, the higher the exposure time. The UV intensity is the amount of energy, per unit time, emitted by germicidal lamp. The Dosage is the product of UV intensity and the exposure time.

UV Disinfection System for Water Treatment - Alfaa UV
Jan 12, 2020 - In UV water disinfection technology, Ultraviolet light of wavelength 253.7 nanometers is used for disinfection of bacteria, viruses, molds, algae,
Learn about UV Water Purification | ESP Water Products
The frequency used in killing micro-organisms is 254 nanometers (nm). Ultraviolet Water Treatment Systems use a lamp that creates these UV waves lengths. As water passes through a UV water treatment system, living organisms are exposed to the UV light and the living organisms effectually killing them
What is a UV Water Purifier and How Does It Work? – Fresh
Apr 15, 2019 - UV treatment purifies water by exposing living organisms to ultraviolet light, but it does not filter them out. Water filters do not remove bacteria and
The Pros and Cons Of Using Ultraviolet Rays For Water
Jan 15, 2018 - A UV water treatment system can destroy up to 99.99% of waterborne ... UV light is also only effective in the water being treated is clear
As a water treatment technique, UV is known to be an effective disinfectant due to ... While the power requirements of low-pressure mercury UV lamp disinfection
Special low-pressure mercury vapor lamps produce ultraviolet radiation at 254 nm, the optimal wavelength for disinfection and ozone destruction. The UV lamp
Water is disinfected as it runs through a stainless steel chamber containing a UV lamp. As water flows past the lamp, illness-causing microorganisms receive a
